Take your shower routine up a notch by whipping up a couple batches of these eucalyptus shower melts! They’re an easy DIY recipe that helps bring some self care into a basic routine.
Servings: 5shower melts
Ingredients
1/2cupcitric acid
1Tablespooncornstarch
1 Tablespoonwater
25dropseucalyptus essential oil
1/8teaspoonmica powder - optional
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the citric acid, cornstarch and mica. Mix. In a mini cup, mix the water and essential oil.
Pour the liquid into the citric acid and begin to stir. It will bubble a bit. Mix until everything is wet.
Portion out into the silicone mold and use a silicone spatula to press them down firmly (this is what makes them hold together).
Let sit on the counter overnight.
Pop them out of the molds and store in a jar.
To use: get your shower nice and steamy, toss one of the disks on the floor of the bathtub. As it melts, the scent will be released for you to breathe in.
Notes
Note: this recipe makes 5 small disks. Depending on your molds it will make more/less. The mica powder is optional, and I only use it when giving them away for gifts/when I want to make them look pretty.
