Servings: 2 servings
- 1/2 cup oats
- 2 tbs oats
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbs raw honey
- 4 tbs boiling water
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Mash the oats on the side of the bowl to release their juices.
Let sit for five minutes so it becomes sticky and the oats absorb the liquid. And let it cool.
To Use: use your hands to smear the mask onto your face. If you left it chunky (see note below) this will take some time. Try to even out the clumps.
Let sit for 10-15 minutes. At the end of the time, rub the oatmeal in just a bit more with your hands. Then, use a warm cloth to remove the bulk of the mask (you don’t want chunks of oats going down your sink!) and then rinse face with warm water to remove fully. Pat skin dry and follow up with your favorite lotion!
This face mask goes on chunky! If you want a smoother face mask, grind the oats before mixing the ingredients. You may need to adjust the amount of water.
Makes two servings to be used immediately.
