Servings: 15 scrubs
- 1/2 cup shea butter soap grated
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 drops colorant
- 7-10 drops essential oil if using
Grate the soap. Add the soap and the coconut oil into a break-proof glass jar.
Place the jar into a pot of water and bring to a rolling boil. Let heat for roughly fifteen minutes.
The soap won’t be melted fully but the coconut oil should be.
Remove from heat and stir in the colorant, sugar and essential oils.
Mix until all the sugar looks wet.
Portion into silicone molds and press down firmly with a spatula. The harder you press the better they bind,
Leave on the counter for 24 hours to set. The next day, pop them out and they’re ready to use!
