Up And Alive is a home for women who want more.
Want more health.
Want more happiness.
Want more financial freedom.
Want to feel more alive.
Let me guess, you’re tired of trying to juggle everything and still create space for things that actually matter. You see everyone’s social feeds and wonder how the heck they’re getting it all done. You want to prioritize yourself, your health, and your passion projects but you struggle to find balance.
You want to feel better, do better, and see what’s possible for you…
and you have a pull in your heart for MORE.
I know this because I have it too.
Hey, I’m Arsy!
It’s my mission to empower and encourage women to take their lives to the next level, be it a health journey or financial freedom.
My own journey began when I started experiencing chronic headaches and fatigue. Feeling unwell empowered me to research and make changes in the way I fueled my body. Unfortunately, the decisions I made rested upon massive amounts of inaccurate information from mainstream health at the time. This, coupled with the lack of nutritional knowledge of my medical professionals, meant that these decisions worsened my symptoms.
With a master’s in sociology, I questioned the status quo and information I was receiving. Despite doctors telling me that the low fat, vegan, or gluten filled, processed foods I was eating were healthy, I wasn’t getting better.
I started trying things like crossfit which led me to the Paleo diet. I thought, “I’ve got nothing to lose with this.” As someone on a mission to achieve optimal health, I began experimenting with food choices and started feeling significantly better.
This opened my mind to think about how much food affects our wellbeing.
Once I’m on to something, I’m all in. I listened to all the podcasts, found alternative healthcare for myself, resolved my thyroid imbalance, headache issues, and fatigue. I was learning everything I could and wanted to help EVERYBODY which, ultimately, became this blog.
Now, my track record for questioning the mainstream and boldly trying new things has carried over to the rest of my life.
I’ve applied it to business, leaving the corporate world and beyond replacing my income. I now operate this blog and run a successful Beautycounter business.
I’ve applied this to motherhood, refusing to accept that I can’t have it all. I’ve found balance in my health, my lifestyle, and my passion projects while spending quality time with my #1.
This pull in my heart has carried me through adversity, divorce, times of extreme success, and publishing 3 cookbooks. It’s given me strength when I had to scale things back or rework my steps. And it’s helped me create a platform where I can help other women do the exact same thing.
I share all of this to say, I feel your desire for more. More health, more happiness, and more financial freedom. Feeling more alive IS attainable and this blog is devoted to sharing all of my best advice so you can do just that.
Here’s to living life on YOUR terms!
