As you may have already noticed, I haven’t posted any new recipes for the last couple of weeks. This is because I have been busy cooking from everyone else’s cookbooks. I have been working hard to get all the reviews and giveaways up by the end of year. I almost did it, but I still have one more left to post!
2013 was a BIG year for Paleo! The movement has really grown, with lots of new blogs and tons of new cookbooks! I know that many of you have decided to give Paleo a try in the new year, so I have made a list of all my favorite cookbooks for you. Having a few Paleo cookbooks on hand is really helpful for staying on track and keeping your meals interesting.
What’s awesome about the variety of books available, is that there is really something for everyone based on the type of food you like and your cooking style.
The Paleo Slow Cooker by Arsy Vartanian
This one was written by me! All of the recipes are slow-cooker based. This book is full of bold flavors and ethnic recipes. It is perfect for anyone with a busy schedule. You can toss your ingredients in your slow-cooker in the morning and come home to a delicious, healthy and satisfying meal.

Against All Grain by Danielle Walker
This is a beautifully photographed book, full of mouthwatering recipes. I recommend this to anyone that is starting out on the Paleo diet. The recipes are interesting, but approachable. There is such a wide variety of recipes, ranging from classics to ethnic-inspired. There is also a large dessert and baked goods section, for those of you that have a sweet tooth or really miss some of your old favorites.

Beyond Bacon by Matthew McCarry and Stacy Toth
Beyond Bacon is not only packed with mouth-watering recipes, but the Paleo Parents also teach us how to find affordable pastured pork and teach us about the nutritional value of including pork in our diets. In addition, I love how the recipes are marked as easy, intermediate and difficult. This book is elegant, informative and would look stunning on your coffee table!
Paleo Lunches and Breakfasts On the Go by Diana Rodgers
Mediterranean Paleo Cooking by Caitlin Weeks
If you love Mediterranean food as much as I do, then you need this book. The recipes are delectable, hardy, yet simple to make. Caitlin’s husband, Nabil co-wrote this book with her. He is a classically trained chef and you will find his chef’s tips included all through out the book. Caitlin is a Paleo oriented holistic nutritionist. You will also find a shopping list, a healthy food buying guide and nutrition tips form her all throughout the book. Read my full review here.

Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans by Michelle Tam and Henry Fong.
The recipes are hands down, amazing. Every Paleo foodie needs this book on their shelf. The skill level seems to range from simple to intermediate. There are some recipes that you can whip up for a weeknight meal and many others that you can impress dinner guests with. Many of the recipes are ethnic-inspired and they all burst with flavor. When reading this book, it feels like you are hanging out with Michelle and her family learning directly from them about how to eat like a real-food-foodie!

Gather, the Art of Paleo Entertaining by Bill Staley Hayley Mason
The Paleo Chocolate Lover’s Cookbook by Kelly Brozyna
Kelly is such a talented photographer. Her book makes me want to eat the food right off the page. Equally as good as the photography are her recipes. Kelly incorporates chocolate into each recipe so thoughtfully that we cooked from it all week and didn’t feel chocolated-out! The book is packed with delicious recipes for treats, but it also has a handful of savory recipes with a chocolate twist. If you enjoy chocolate even half as much as I do, then this book is a must-have!
