What I love about salsa is that it’s so simple to make. It takes 10 minutes or less to assemble, and can be eaten a variety of ways. I think it’s pretty hard to mess up.
Mango and pineapple are definitely the most common fruits used in salsa, but strawberries work like a charm too. In this particular recipe, the strawberries are the standout ingredient. They pair surprisingly well with tomatoes, and offer both sweetness and acidity.
Aside from the berries and tomatoes, this salsa has red onion, jalapeño, lime juice, cilantro, sea salt and a smidge of raw honey. That’s it. Chop, mix and stir. Then, grab your favorite chips for dipping and have at it! Plantain chips are my personal favorite, but I also love grain-free tortilla chips.
Alternatively, this salsa can be used atop of chicken or fish, or in a taco bowl. There’s many ways to eat it, really.
