Happy New Year! Sorry for being absent for so long. I took an unintentional holiday blogging break. We spent some time with our families in gold rush country, where there’s no cell phone reception. We were able to spend time together with minimal distractions. We cooked, we ate, we drank wine, we chatted and we even built a snow man! It was really nice. Indyanna had a blast of course, with 4 grandparents, 3 uncles & an aunt all fighting over playing with her.
While they all fought over the baby, I made some delicious recipes that I look forward to sharing with you all – persimmon cobbler, delicata squash & chorizo hash & duck-fat french fries.
Here are some photos from the last couple of weeks…
{our mini tree, perfect for our mini house}
{been hanging out with this little gremlin lots}
{Indy’s favorite place, under our magnolia tree}
{eating solid food for the first time – egg yolk}
{been sipping on lots of herbal tea}
{delicata squash hash for Christmas breakfast}
{duck fat french fries with garlic aioli}
{been experimenting with the SousVide}

I can imagine Indyanna would have loved the attention and the atmosphere of family altogether. There’s nothing like it. Lovely photos.
I just started eating paleo about a month ago with a few slip ups on Christmas day so I am keen to see what you will be cooking on your blog.

Where can I find your squash hash recipe? It looks great!
Arsy says
Hi Nick! I’ll try to get the recipe up this week. But, it was super simple – I roasted 2 cups of squash, 1 cup of mushrooms, 1/2 lb. chorizo without the casing. Then put 2 fried eggs on top, plus parsley for garnish!
