I want to share a few photos with you from my cookbook release party! My dear friend and professional photographer, Taryn Kent of This Way blog, flew up from San Diego to document the event!
Follow Taryn on Instagram to be inspired by her gorgeous photography!
The event was held at Front Street Kitchen, an awesome commercial kitchen and event space. It was catered by Chef Ty of Local Harvest Catering. Local Harvest Catering is a Paleo meal delivery service. It’s the first one in Santa Cruz that I have heard of. I can’t wait to start placing orders for those super busy weeks! If you live in the Santa Cruz area, make sure to check them out!
Chef Ty made several dishes from The Paleo Foodie Cookbook. I wish you guys could try them all. Everything turned out soooo good!
{gooey bacon wrapped dates with an herb and cashew cream filling}
{Parsnip hummus from The Paleo Foodie and Strawberry Basil Panna Cotta from The Paleo Foodie Dinner Party}
{Stuffed Mushrooms from The Paleo Foodie}
{Caramelized Onion and Beet Soup shooters for the Dexter fans 😉 }
{It wouldn’t be my kind of celebration without some libations! Thanks Big B for bartending!}
{And some live music!}
{we also gave out goodie bags filled with Paleo treats from Barnana, Steve’s Paleo Goods and Kuhn Rikon}
{had so much fun meeting blog readers and signing books}
I am still giddy thinking about all of the blogger friends and blog readers that came out to celebrate with me. This wasn’t even all of the bloggers that attended!
{My amazing friends Emily of The Urban Ecolife and Vivica of The Nourished Caveman drove into town from Chico, CA. Check out both of these blogs, these two women are so inspiring!}
{I was so thrilled when my friend Michelle of Nom Nom Paleo popped in on her way to Spring break with her family!}
{Two of my favorite people ever – Caitlin of Grass Fed Girl and Hannah of Healy Eats Real}
{This party couldn’t have happened without my friend, Natalie of Honey, Ghee, & Me! I was so happy that Rachel of Grok Grub and Carla of Wise Roots Nutrition came down from SF to celebrate with us!)
{I am so thrilled to have connected with these 2 amazing bloggers via Instagram – Kristen of Living Loving Paleo and Tonja of Flame to Fork. It was so great to finally meet them in person. You can see more photos of The Paleo Foodie Release Party that Kristen shared here.}
{It’s always a good time catching up with my brilliant friend, Susan of Evolve Nutrition.}
{One of the highlights of the day was meeting Michelle and her dad. Michelle is an athlete that has made great progress with the Paleo diet. Look out for her story on the blog soon! And her dad is a foodie. So, talking Paleo and food with them was tons of fun!}
{So great to meat Matt of Whole Foods. This event couldn’t have happened without his support. Thank you, Matt!}
{My amazing family came up from LA to help out and celebrate!}
{My beautiful friends, Rachel and Lisette also volunteered their services and manned the door.}
{with the brilliant Taryn Kent of This Way blog + my brother, the photo bomber… lol}
Thanks so much for reliving the party with me. This was a really fun post to put together. I’ll be sharing some photos from the rest of the tour and PaleoFX soon.
