Is activated charcoal a fad?
Actually, activated charcoal isn’t the new kid on the block. It’s been used in hospitals for decades to help with overdoses and toxin removal.
Basically, how it works is toxins bind to the surface of the charcoal, and as your body flushes it out, they get eliminated, too.
Activated charcoal has many benefits including whitening teeth, alleviating gas and bloating, digestive cleansing, treating alcohol poisoning, emergency toxin removal and improving skin health—just to name a few.

How do I use activated charcoal?
I always keep this one on hand, in the case that I eat out and get glutened. It seems to help. Please check with your health care provider before adding any supplement to your regimen.
CHARCOAL CLEANSING BAR
My very favorite way to use charcoal is THIS charcoal cleansing bar. It is amazing for skin. It’s basically magic for breakouts. Not to be TMI, but 2 uses and all of my chest breakouts were gone.
It uses organic witch hazel for toning, antioxidant-rich organic green tea to calm inflammation and organic coconut oil and sunflower oil to hydrate our skin.
It’s gentle enough to use daily for both face and body. It’s formulated to help give ua a smoother, brighter, healthier-looking complexion. Who doesn’t want that?
Plus, nothing looks cooler on your bathroom counter than a bar of black soap. 😉
I really didn’t mean to write this much about a bar of soap! But, I am pretty obsessed and excited about this one!
BLACK PEPPERMINT WHITENING TOOTHPOWDER
This stuff works! I am very prone to wine stains and this is my go-to. Brushing with activated charcoal will help remove discolorations, stains (coffee, tobacco, tea, etc.) and debris and leave the surface area of the tooth clean and appearance will be whiter.
NON-TOXIC DEODORANT WITH ACTIVATED CHARCOAL
I’ve basically tried them all! I am a good sample of 1. I won’t get TMI on you here, but it’s been a struggle to find a deodorant that works. I am a huge fan of the one from Piper Wei.

I’ve been using the Konjac Charcoal sponge from 100% Pure and am probably as excited about that as you are about the soap! I have to admit, a black bar of soap looks really cool! I’ve been using activated charcoal to whiten my teeth and it truly works. Going to order the tooth powder you recommend…sounds easier than opening those capsules each time!!!!
