HOW TO SUPPORT THYROID FUNCTION WITH GENTLE DETOX
Have you been listening to the Thyroid Sessions? This may be one of the most informative online conferences I’ve listened to. Sean Croxton of Underground Wellness interviewed 24 of the world’s leading experts in thyroid health to help us understand this epidemic holistically and treat it naturally whenever possible. And yes, it is an epidemic! According to thyroid.org more than 12 percent of the U.S. population will develop a thyroid condition during their lifetime.
I’ve only had a chance to catch one session a day, but each one I’ve listened to has knocked my socks off. And based on the Facebook comments and emails that I am getting from you guys, it seems that you also agree! I actually just purchased the summit myself today. After listening to a few sessions, I knew that I had to listen to the rest. There is so much to learn and SO many people to help with this information. I myself, struggled with undiagnosed thyroid issues for a long time and it’s a conversation that I have with friends and clients regularly.
There is only a couple of days left to take advantage of the event week special pricing. Click here to get lifetime access to the Thyroid Sessions and listen to the talks anytime, anywhere!

HOW TO SUPPORT THYROID FUNCTION WITH GENTLE DETOX
Green tea
Chemicals in green tea including, catechins, can increase detoxification enzymes in humans and promote proper liver function (source).
Fresh Turmeric
Turmeric has long been used as a potent anti-inflammatory. Some studies have also shown that turmeric may increase detoxification and improve liver function.
Fresh Ginger
Ginger has been known to relax and soothe the intestinal tract. Scientific research has also revealed that ginger possesses properties with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Lemon Essential Oil
Lemons are thought to boost the liver’s efficiency. According to Nicole Cutler L.Ac., “Lemons contain high amounts of Vitamin C, an antioxidant that is needed to manufacture glutathione. Because glutathione is used to neutralize toxins, lemons help the liver with detoxification”. (source). I only recommend ingesting therapeutic grade oils. If you don’t have access to any, you can substitute fresh grated lemon zest in the recipe.
Coconut Milk
The healthy and beneficial fats in the coconut milk will help you absorb more nutrients from the tea.
I like to blend this tea to make sure all of the ingredients are well incorporated. I use this to make smoothies and blended tea/coffee drinks. Truthfully, I am obsessed with it…it works so well and it’s really easy to clean. But, a regular blender will do too!

I recommend also adding some black pepper; it boosts the bioavailability of the curcumin!
That is a great tip! Thank you!
