Thanks for the info about the VitaClay. I didn’t know my slowcooker could be leaching things into our food. It does have a ceramic giveaway, hope that makes it okay. As for next month, I think a cast iron Dutch Oven would be great. I have never had one of those and I think it would be great to learn how to use it.
Hi Jess – I learned this fairly recently too. Some slow cookers have lead in them. The Hamilton Beach one is supposed to be safe.

This clay cooker looks AMAZING! I wonder if it is good for people who want to reheat food without using a microwave.
I think it wouldn’t work well for reheating, as it takes awhile to heat. I use a toaster oven for reheating!

I’m glad Elana introduced us! Thank goodness for Paleo. I am going to join others and say a Vitamix for next month, I hear they are wonderful.
I would love to win this giveaway! Some ideas for future giveaways? Hmmm, I would love a heavy duty mandolin. Even with my knife skills, I cannot seem to get a uniform slice on certain veggies. A spiralizer/spiral slicer would also be nice too. And, something that I had seen and would love, love to have, but cannot imagine buying one for myself is a stone grinder to make my own nut butters!
A vitamix or another one of these so I can get another chance at it!

Yes! It makes great bone broth. But, it’s not as big as a traditional cooker, so it doesn’t make as much.
