Local Raw Honey, Almond Flour, Coconut Flour*, Shredded Coconut*, Coconut Oil*, Vanilla Extract*, Sea Salt (*Organic).
You can’t go wrong with an ingredient list like that! These organic, fair-trade ingredients make up the recipe for Ona’s coconut shortbread cookies. Ona bars and cookies, a real food product of WB Kitchen, come in a variety of flavors, all of which are non-GMO, organic, fair-trade, Paleo and gluten-free. Many of their options are also SCD and GAPS friendly as well. The only sweetener is honey, and all the products are free of grains, soy and dairy, and contain no preservatives or artificial colors or flavors.
The ingredients and business practice are enough reason to give these bars a try, but, let me tell you, they’re delicious! The bars are gooey and soft; the honey used is obviously not from your conventional supermarket. The array of nuts in the cookies and bars offer a perfect crunchy element. My favorite bar is Honey Nut (sticky, chewy and not overly sweet), and my favorite cookie is Coconut Shortbread (which packs a fantastic coconut punch of flavor!).
